We are in Singapore airport. Inside another departure lounge. Our aircraft is being cleaned and we are trying to ensure that we do not get DVT. The woman opposite me has a wok in her hand luggage. Jose Mourinho is on the television gesticulating, I have not slept at all. It turns out that sleeping in the sitting position is not possible for me. I have watched hours of American Sitcoms, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Modern Family, two films and listened to the latest offerings of the musical pop world. All of which were awful. I then listened instead to Carole King's Tapestry Album which made me happy. We are surrounded by hundreds of people who all look as if they've just taken part in some corporate drug test. We no longer have to wait for the Zombie Apocalypse... the time is now, it is upon us. Who knew that the zombies would be restricted to 7KG of hand luggage and would be required to carry around their liquids in a clear plastic bag.
I'm not sure that I can write much more without drifting off into oblivion but myself and Manda have resigned ourselves to watching the 3 hour epic Cloud Atlas on the next leg of our journey to Melbourne. I suspect this is a good idea. If anything is going to put us to sleep it'll be that.
Rather more disturbing is the fact that we were served breakfast about 1 hour ago and we will be served dinner in about 2 hours followed by another breakfast.
